Corn Don't Grow (LM 303) Charlie Robertson
OPENER
We
sat on the front porch of that old grey house
where I was born and raised
Men Star Right and roll it one time around find the corner
Allemande Left Weave the ring
And think it kind of hurt him when I daddy there's so much that I don't know
But
don't you ever dream about a life where Corn Don't Grow
FIGURE
Heads Promenade and go half way around the ring you know
Walk in and square thru to 4 go all the way you do the
right and left thru and then turn the girl, veer left you ferris wheel,
Square thru to 3 now swing the Corner and Promenade
MIDDLE BREAK - CLOSER
4 girls (men) promenade in the middle of the ring go walking around the ring and go
Back home swing your man (girl) go round, join all those hands oh circle left go around
Do and Allemande Left that corner and weave the ring
Hard times are real, there's dusty fields no matter where you go
You might change your mind cuz the weeds are high where corn don't grow
Swing her boys
You might change your mind cuz the weeds are high where corn don't grow
